First Reserve Corporation
In 2006, Blue Source partnered with First Reserve Corporation of Greenwich, Conn., and backed the firm with capital available to build new ghg reduction projects up to $500 million in size. First Reserve Corporation is the largest private equity firm in the domestic energy industry and is co-owners of the Blue Source Companies. First Reserve seeks significant capital appreciation through negotiated equity and equity-related investments in a diversified portfolio of energy companies. With over $12.5 billion under management, First Reserve Corporation is the oldest and largest buyout group to focus exclusively on a strategy of diversified energy investments.

Climate Warehouse
In 2007, Blue Source and Cantor CO2 launched The Climate Warehouse, a leading global provider of sustainable ghg offsets.  The Climate Warehouse services voluntary market retailers and resellers and is founded on the premise that taking steps to mitigate climate change is a responsibility for each and every one of us. The Climate Warehouse also works with corporations and communities to identify potential roles they can play in the carbon economy and then helps them engage in specific emission reduction activities.

SCS Engineers
Blue Source is working with SCS Engineers (SCS) to develop landfill gas to energy projects across the US.  SCS is a full-service environmental engineering firm specializing in solid waste management.  It is recognized as one of the nation’s most reputable and innovative solid waste consulting firms.  In 2004, 2005 and 2006, SCS was named the nation’s  No. 1 Solid Waste Consulting Firm by Engineering News Record.  With more than 500 employees in 35 offices across the US including civil, environmental, mechanical and geotechnical engineers, construction engineers and field technicians, SCS provides a full range of landfill and LFG engineering services.

Environmental Resources Trust (ERT)
Blue Source has worked with ERT for the last five years developing improvements in the offset marketplace.  ERT is a non-profit organization focused on utilizing market forces to protect the global environment.  ERT is involved in helping companies establish baselines, set corporate emission reduction goals and trade offsets through the ERT GHG Registry.  Blue Source has registered offsets on the ERT GHG Registry.

Environmental Defense’s Fight Global Warming Campaign
This campaign allows individuals to purchase offsets from select offset providers.  Blue Source is one of the chosen providers and uses the ERT GHG Registry for transacting under the Fight Global Warming Campaign.

Ruby Canyon Engineering
Ruby Canyon Engineering has worked with Blue Source since 2003, performing verification services for methane mitigation projects with a focus on the coal mining sector.  Ruby Canyon has significant expertise in performing feasibility studies, developing baselines, creating methodologies and providing verification services for methane mitigation projects.  It also has extensive experience in project development for coal mine methane projects.

Blue Source formed a strategic alliance with HDR in 2007 in order to offer a streamlined path to the carbon market for HDR clients.  The combined services include financing, design, construction, aggregation, verification and marketing of projects that generate VERs.
